Egyptian Star Table Topper or Tree Skirt

Please note that there is homework required between the two classes. The paper piecing needs to be done prior to working on the curved piecing.
- “Egyptian Flower” pattern by Vanilla Latte Quilts
- Fabric and batting according to pattern back
- Fun-dation paper – 2 1/2 yards x 20” wide
- Sewing machine with open toe or clear sewing foot and ¼” foot with a guide on the side
- Aurafil or other good quality cotton sewing thread in a neutral color to go with all of your fabrics (grey or tan is best)
- Size 80/12 sharps needles
- Small rotary cutter
- Add-A-Quarter ruler
- Cutting mat
- Business card or cardboard that is the thickness of a business card (cardboard from Add-A-Quarter package works great!)
- Seam ripper, pins, fabric scissors
- Glue stick
- Ball point pen for tracing patterns
Tracing patterns onto Fun-Dation paper prior to class and precutting/labeling fabrics according to pattern directions will help you to get a lot more done in class!
